The days of Aslan of Narnia – Blessing of Pets

God’s care for each and everything small and big, animate or inanimate was evident in every age of human history starting from the beginning of creation. This care for the world and all that is within is seen continued in the Old Testament and then through the story of the great flood. We see Noah being asked to carefully pick a pair of every living being on earth to the Arc of the Covenant regardless of their nature or nurture.

Being with the unchanging

For years I have heard people say that you age in your mind before you age in your body. I thought I knew what that meant and I could imagine what it would be like, that is, until I went to India a few weeks ago. Then I experienced it for real.

My mother used to tell me that table symbolized family. We had lots of friends, family and guests who sat at our table my mother set. Some of our family members were not that great in my view.

Resurrection needs spiritual muscles

Presiding Bishop Katherine Schori invites us to stretch our muscles to make resurrection available to those who need it most around us. It is not an easy thing and we don’t want to because we are tired from all the labor of the day. However we have a moral and spiritual obligation to make the message of the Resurrection heard and lived.
